FITness

How do you define fitness? If you are like most people, fitness means belonging to a gym or fitness center, but not actually being FIT. True FITness is a lifestyle of unwavering commitment, a lifestyle that focuses on the ultimate goal, which is your health and well-being. Designing your lifestyle around your health and well-being pays huge dividends.  Granted, those dividends will usually take months or years to be realized, but one thing is certain – those dividends will be paid if you make the commitment and focus on your FITness.

Take a look at your current lifestyle for a minute. Are you FIT? Are you really FIT? Or, are you one of the two-thirds of the US population who are overweight or obese? Do you practice a lifestyle of fitness?  If you don’t is one of your excuses that you don’t have the time?  I am certain that if you honestly looked at your current schedule you can find an extra hour a day to FOCUS on you.  Remember, excuses only work for the people who use them.  But we’re not interested in excuses, so sit back and take a couple of minutes to analyze how you spend your typical day.  Got it pictured?  Okay, let me guess…

You’re just too busy!

There’s no time to take care of yourself because in-between watching the Real Housewives of Wherever, Dancing with Celebrities, pizza commercials, and playing video games, there’s no time left.  If you think your schedule is full now just wait until you have to spend time in the hospital having your chest cracked open, or having to test your blood sugar and take your diabetic medication. You’re going to be amazed how much time that takes!  And if one of your excuses is about the cost of a fitness club membership then wait until you are paying hundreds of dollars a month for medications to keep you alive!  Trust us, membership is a lot less expensive and a lot more fun.

If you want to get in shape you have to move more, eat less, and focus on your FITness. Focused Intensity Today prevents poor performance tomorrow. Have you moved more today than yesterday?  If not, what are you waiting for?  Get FIT!
